Product Information

Most products displayed on this site are available in our Melonwoods stores.  In some cases, merchandise displayed may not currently be in stock, please contact our store for product availability. If products are to be manufactured locally, production time is around 4 to 8 weeks.

Our furniture is handmade from reclaimed wood or other solid wood, which means that each item is unique in its own way.  Accordingly expansion or shrinkage, small cracks and other wood or glass imperfections are inherent qualities in our product.

Variations in consistency, uniformity, size and colour are indeed what make them unique, natural and exclusive.

If items are manufactured locally, all drawer boxes and frames are made out of Pine Wood.  If preferred, we can quote on other wood types.

We have done our best to display as accurately as possible the colours of the products shown on this Website. However, because the colours you see will depend on the calibration of your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will be accurate. Images printed from this website may also not be colour-accurate.

Prices

Prices displayed on this site are quoted in South African Rands (ZAR), VAT included, ex Works (excluding delivery).  All prices are subject to change without prior notice and store confirmation.

Melonwoods shall take all reasonable efforts to accurately indicate prices displayed on products in store and on this website. However, should products be erroneously offered at incorrect prices Melonwoods will not be obliged to sell products at such incorrect prices, but shall refund monies paid by you, should you not wish to proceed with the purchase at the correct price.

Payment

In order for us to offer you the best possible prices, our terms of payment are COD.  Once goods have been invoiced, payment is required within 48 hours.

Please note that until such time as payment has been made in full, the product remains the property of Melonwoods.

Delivery of Furniture

It is the customers responsibility to ensure that all furniture ordered fits into the space where it will be placed.  The customer is to also ensure that the furniture ordered will fit through all doorways, hallways, lifts and stair areas that need to be accesses in the delivery process.

Any damage to furniture due to this information not being communicated will not be the liability of Melonwoods CC or their designated delivery company.

If furniture needs to be transported up a staircase, this is to please be communicated to Melonwoods.  Due to extra labour being required for this, the delivery charges will be adjusted accordingly.
